How much will it cost to transport 500 birds to migori. Am keen on the transport element ?
Fred
Hi Fred.
Please check with your local shuttles how much they will charge to get 5 chicks boxes transported from Nairobi to Migori. We normally place them on the seat directly behind the driver. You will have to pay for the seat, we only facilitate and deliver them to the shuttle station.

Hi Lutaka,
Greetings from Kenya and thank you for your interest in our products we do appreciate all the interest we are getting around Africa. I am afraid we are not selling hatching eggs since we doubled our hatching capacity we do not have any extra eggs as we used to have in the past.

I am also not sure about the requirement in importing eggs in Zambia so I would ask you to contact you local veterinary Board to check what sort of paperwork you need to bring eggs in Zambia, then contact us. we should start selling eggs again in 3 months.

Hi Frasiah,
For week and day old chicks we don’t sell less than 50 chicks. Since they are too small, they need to keep each other warm during travel. We can use a shuttle to deliver them to you, but you pay for delivery.

Please advise me if improved kienyeji can do well in cold climate. I am in a tea zone. If so which breed of improved kienyeji would you recommend? Please also give me a breakdown of prices in terms of age ie 1,2etc weeks
Hi Fredrick,
Yes they can do well in cold climate. I have had farmers from Jambini, Rimuruti and Limuru among other cold regions. I think you need to get them at day old so they can grow in the cold environment. If you get them at 1 or 2 weeks old they will take a while before they get used to their new environment, and the mortality might be higher than if you got day old chicks.
Many thanks

Hi,
I have a farm in Mombasa and Kilifi, I’m interested in keeping kuroilers, do you deliver to these locations?
Hi Christine,
Its a little bit difficult to sent to the coast region since the bus services wont transport unaccompanied chicks. if you know anyone travelling down from nairobi we can make sure the chicks get to them in nairobi.

Dear Ziwani,
I would like to kindly appreciate the great valuable free information that you’re giving to fellow Kenyans on poultry rearing. Its really helpful, keep it up. I would also like to request you to guide me on how to formulate a 70kg & 100kg of chick mash, growers mash, and Layers mash respectively, for KARI Improved Kienyeji chicken, especially the Ziwani new breed. I am a small farmer and can’t afford to formulate 1 Tone of chicken feed at any given time.
Thank you in advance.
